Miremarsh Shipping and unboxing video

Good afternoon Goblins!

It has been a while since we had juicy information to offer you. Every step has been followed and we can finally and happily share with you the info we have been passed by the manufacturer and keep you posted on the final strands of this project!

A pile of Miremarsh stuff!

We have now our product packed and wrapped in pallets with the freight forwarder to go to the boat! Since we booked a door-to-door service, the clearing of customs and transit to the stocks of the fulfilling company will be a stroll in the park (we used the same system before and the process from port to fulfilling was absolutely stellar and uninterrupted).

Pallet of Miremarsh ready to go
More pallets just before they were picked up by the freight forwarder

So, with this said, we just need to get the info on the vessel and that will be the goblins travelling home for the first time.

In the meantime, we have received a sample of each of the products and we are recording videos on unboxing them. It is the first time that the Room 17 team sees the full project into a product, and we must give the highest credit to the manufacturer. 68 minis (plus a bulldog!) in total for a little boardgame with a quality that we haven’t seen in allegedly more impressive KS executions.

Fen Lord box

As it couldn’t been otherwise, we had a swampy surprise with the Fish and Bones little box set… after a live in the Swamp, our fish tokens have lost their sardine-blue colour and our bones have received a lovely coat of blue instead… Well, I suppose we have thus created an exclusive first edition mishap that with luck will be worth millions in years to come… that is with Miremarsh 100th Anniversary!

We intended for blue fish and boney bones but got blue bones and boney fish!

Our manufacturer has gone far and beyond and showed us the enormous improvement they have achieved through these last years. I hope you like what you get as we certainly do. The quality and hardness of the PVC is that we wanted, and every miniature has come out as crisps and neat as it can be! A joy for painter and nothing to envy resin models.

Below is link to a video where you can see Anders (and his Fenlord T-Shirt) going through the boxes.

We received the coins and the dice bags a while back and we sent them as samples to a large Amazon Backer store that will be taking care of selling these lovely products on Amazon! That would be Ricard’s fault :-)

Real (nah...) gold coins
Extra dice, for goblins who don't want to share!

Anyway, we have absolutely every product registered and ready. For those watching the video, you’ll notice we didn’t review the artbook and the Resin Goblins (Pledge), but we have been reassured they are coming too, of course!

Please comment or contact us directly with any questions you may have.

Now, we are going to play with all these toys!

Miremarsh Shipping update
5 months ago – Fri, Sep 20, 2019 at 11:48:59 PM

Hi Miremarsh backers

To keep you informed on the shipping I'll put up this update, it's pretty much a "no news" update but can be good to know anyway.

So were we are right know is that the factory have all they need to finish production and when they are finished making it putting it on ship to Southampton, UK.

On the 10th of September during our continuous conversation with the factory they said:

"We still need at least one month to finish the mass production. For the sake of insurance, you'd better tell the backers the mass production still need 40 days.

To insure the quality of the game, we don't want the mass production too rush. Quality is still the most important factor we are focusing. Especially for the miniatures, if need

to produce the perfect miniatures, we have to modify and improve the mould for many times, until we can got the perfect minis. This moulding process indeed will costs many days"

during the whole mass production."

While its tedious to wait I think both us and you the backers appreciate them taking the time to get quality right rather than rush towards deadlines and something arriving in the box on the other side is not up to a good quality.

So with this time perspective it would mass production finished at the 20th of October, possibly on the ship on the 25th of October, about 4 weeks on the Water, so landing about the 21st of November, spending 3 days in Customs, at Gamesquest on the 25th November and they can start shipping it out on around 28th-29th of November. Then about 7-14 days to reach you guys.

Factory is going to work to have mass-production done earlier than that, but as said it's not worth sacrificing any quality over it. The factory is also making KS games such as Tainted Grail and others so while you are waiting for Miremarsh they might very well be making other KS you are waiting for, an upside if you back many different projects.

Next week we are doing an update with an Unboxing, a bit of playing the game, showing also the T-shirts that just arrived and the art book (PDF possibly).

Cheers

Production & Fulfillment Update
7 months ago – Mon, Aug 05, 2019 at 11:43:10 PM

 Good afternoon Goblins!

An update on production of and fulfillment of your Miremarsh pledges!

We originally had August as our fulfillment month and as sometimes happens, delays occur in this process. We thought we had it covered with the board mishap but something else hit us.

What we have:

We have everything! Everything is ready to be handed over to the backers, we have had samples we are happy with, we have green-lit everything, everything is good to go

What we don't have (yet):

Our complete shipment!

Here's what has happened so far!
Our shipment was booked to be sent to us here in Nottingham in August! (allegedly everything was finished on the 10th July) Now, we have received some elements of the contents in their sample forms in smaller shippings and we noticed some expansion parts were missing each time.

We got back to our manufacturing company and asked "whats going on?" - And we were told they had split our shipment into several batches - so that the expansion elements, such as the Mantica heroes and the Durgin Forge Dwarf Adventurers were still not packaged to be sent yet, which is why we were not receiving them!

This means that if we wanted to get our August shipment sent now, we would have to pay for a following shipment when everything else was ready to be fulfilled some months later. As you can imagine, this would be an enormous cost that we cannot afford as this was never the plan. So, we had to give up our shipping slot to wait for the three elements missing (Mantica, Dwarves and Art Book) so they can be combined into the one single shipment.

For some reason, they made the decision (or we failed to communicate otherwise) to split the shipment, completing one element, sending it, then focusing on the next. This hasn't happened before to us and we have always been incredibly happy with our manufacturing company, but for cost reasons and split shipping making things far harder to manage logistically we have had to take this one on the chin and push back the shipping date whilst these are amalgamated. To make the story short, we are expecting a couple of months delay.

As soon as we have more information we will update you again with it and rest assured we are doing everything in our power to get the shipping process ran as smoothly as possible. The fulfilling company is only waiting for the shipment to start shifting your pledges!

In the meantime - the goodies that HAVE arrived to write off come are simply PERFECT and whilst it might not fill the void of your Miremarsh box, we thought it would be nice to share them with you.

Miremarsh Production Complete
8 months ago – Thu, Jul 04, 2019 at 03:19:35 AM

Good morning all and happy 4th of July to all of you US Bog and Rock Gobs!

While I was away on a business trip, I received the great news that our beloved Miremarsh KS production is to be completed by the 10th July!

This date puts a bit of delay on the schedule due to a couple of factors, the most important one the revision of the board and a last minute tweaks and spotted small issues (like a second wash on the coins, the incorporation of the Boot cards, re-collocation of the punchboard, etc...).

There is not much more to add to this update as no problems or issues are expected, so the next bit is float the boat and receive the goods at our fulfilment partner GQ.  As most of you already know, this takes about 6-8 weeks transit from the ship leaving port to custom cleared.

Due to the special relationship we have with our friends at GQ built up during the years, they are all set and ready to receive the goods and ship them with priority.

With their help and a bit of luck (shorter trip, fast customs), we hope we can make it really, really close to the August deadline. Even though, a big apology for the potential delay.

Please let us know your thoughts and comments as usual.

Best

Miremarsh, Miremarsh, Miremarsh...
9 months ago – Fri, Jun 14, 2019 at 12:47:33 PM

Good afternoon goblins of all kind. Like in the old Burton's movie, if you call Miremarsh three times, it will turn up!

As you know Room 17 is fully immersed in the new Mighty Lords campaign and although that is the focus of the Studio at the moment, the production side of our comp-any (that sounds enormous but is actually Anders and myself!) are making sure that everything at the Miremarsh end runs smoothly.

er the production side of our company (that sounds enormous but is actually Anders and myself!) are making sure that everything at the Miremarsh end runs smoothly.

The Board, the board

Although we had that mishap with the board, we are not expecting any delays on the global fulfilment and our fulfilling company is ready and waiting for the goods to arrive. Now, the goods have not left China yet, but there is no delays on the factory at all. We will let you know if any of this changes and /or when we  have the shipping details (boat, bill of landing, all that stuff!)

The Chinese manufacturer is taking an additional week to finish some printable files (impact of the board issue) leaving us two juicy days and the weekend to actually come with any amendments we may find (for me, a great opportunity to continue spotting typos and mistakes sure all of them my fault! ) Anka has prepared a link for you to download all the files for two reasons:

  • 1- ENJOY THEM!
  • 2- Send us feedback and spotted mistakes. We have until the end of the weekend to sort them out.

 https://room17games.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/Egc-vVpnnxRNu_Jv5S-4gz0BS-NtrOETsoI1q-Fk6CNdeA

Now, most complex files are now printed and boxed (box, cards, etc) but please check it all, as we want to make sure that if any mistakes cannot be sorted, at least we can apologise to you ;-)

Might Lords

Now, I know some of you don't like to receive news on our other campaigns and I want to respect that. So if you are one of them, please stop reading now and focus on the main part.

For the rest, you may be aware that we have just unlocked the Fenlady resin miniature on the Mighty Lords campaign. That is a £15 high quality resin that goes in line with the Mighty Lords range but that keeps the same style and scale as the Fenlord.

We don't expect you to be interested in our Mighty Lords range of minis, but if any of you want to access the Fenlady as collectable for the MM universe, please get in touch with us (customer.service@room17.games) or you can click on the link embedded in the image and pledge for £1. You will be able to buy this mini during the pledge manager if you want to!

And that is pretty much it all.

Happy weekend and happy Fathers Day (for those that are daddies and live in the UK)

The team!
